My definition of imagery would be "a series of images that isn't meant to be real; imagination, non-realistic."
Example:
Trippin' out, spinnin' around.
I'm underground, I fell down.
Yeah, I fell down.
I'm freaking out so where am I now?
Upside down and I can't stop it now.
It can't stop me now.

Significance of the Term:
I would use this term term because imagery is kind of like an imagination. Imagination comes from what you're thinking in your head that making creative things and that's part of being original. It's a part of language arts because you're using your brain a lot and becoming more creative.
